Local Food, Fish, and Fun
Pybus Market is the premier place in Wenatchee for local food, goods, and even more. The market sits along the Columbia River, and it's named after an old Wenatchee family (it's pronounced PYE-bus, by the way). It resides in an old steel warehouse, giving it an industrial charm, but the shops are anything but. You'll find wines, bistros, and restaurants. Twenty businesses with roll down door fronts reside permanently in the market, featuring flowers, fresh vegetables, nuts, baked goods, pizza, ice cream, and fish vendors. The market operates 362 days a year, so whenever you come to Wenatchee, you'll be able to visit.
Events happen at the market all the time. Visit the bookmobile for some light reading. Dance enthusiasts stop by every Thursday at 7 p.m. Join in for some salsa, blues, and swing dancing. The River Run 5K and 10K also start at the market on July 4th. The Wenatchee Farmers Market pops up right outside the market on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The local area features Riverside Park and Apple Blossom Capital Loop. Bustling downtown is also just a short walk away. Even if you're not looking to shop the market, you'll find fun local events happening all the time here.
Pybus Market is easy to find. Just look for the giant "Public Market" sign hanging over the market. Come here to see this historic warehouse that's been re-purposed into a vibrant, lively part of our community.
